The Department of Communication at Georgia State University seeks an Administrative 
Coordinator, Sr. who will coordinate class scheduling, assist with other administrative work 
(such as producing annual activity reports and coordinating promotion and tenure work), and 
assist in special projects work including internal communication (brochures, web, newsletters), 
alumni relations and development work. This coordinator also serves as an assistant to the 
chair and associate chair of the department, as well as providing occasional administrative 
support to departmental committees. More information about the department is available at

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and two years administrative experience connected 
to work in the wider communication fields (journalism, speech communication, film, media 
studies, mass communication, etc.); or a high school diploma or GED and six years 
administrative experience; or a combination of training and experience.

Preferences: Strong preference to a candidate with an M.A. degree in Communication or an 
allied discipline; strong organizational skills, effective writing and communication capabilities; 
knowledge of Banner and Crystal Report generation.
