The Washington DC office of GolinHarris, is searching for a talented and energetic Associate who is bilingual for a consumer marketing account. The Associate role supports the senior account team, but also has the opportunity to manage multiple projects for the client and supervise junior staff and interns.

The Associate will support day-to-day social media and publicity responsibilities on a prominent and national consumer brand. The Associate must have a good understanding of how to create engaging online campaigns, establish and maintain relationships with online influencers, and develop messaging specific to client needs. The Associate will also be responsible for managing logistics, building long term relationships and publicizing a Brand Icon character program. Additionally, the Associate must work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with all members of the team; provide insights and support to multi-cultural programming; perform fundamental PR tasks such as media outreach, press material development, and event management, with a heavy focus on daily media outreach and pitch development.

Ideal candidates will have strong writing, client relations, and administrative experience. Our ideal candidate will also have an understanding of the local media landscape, and some established relationships with media contacts. Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills are a must, along with the ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, and handle fast paced environment. Candidates must be able to write and speak in both English and Spanish.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of two years of professional experience, an understanding of media relations and media monitoring tools and a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
