Fleishman-Hillard has an immediate opportunity for an Account Executive who will be part of a dynamic team in our Kansas City office. This team includes communication counselors in an office that provides communications solutions to a diverse mix of local,national and global clients in the retail, agribusiness, healthcare andconsumer goods industries.
The Account Executive supports the development of and implements creative,strategic, and effective communications plans and works closely with FH senior management. He or she also assists clients with their external public relationsand communications activities.
? Extensive research anddevelopment of written materials including press releases, media alerts, newsadvisories, etc.
? Proactive media pitching to key trade, regional, national and consumer reporters.
? Management of multiple projects at one time.
? Developing programs andtactics with in new digital media and social networking sites.
? Serve clients that have a story to tell and will require consistent and effective outreach to journalists, bloggers and analysts.
? Will have the opportunity to play a role in account planning and management of multiple accounts where day-to-day contact with the client may occur.
? Minimum 2-4 years of communications experience in an agency setting.
? Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to develop press materials, newsletters and communications.
? Demonstrated success in proactive media relations, with the ability to develop strong media pitch angles and pitch story ideas to reporters.
? Experience leveraging social media and blogger outreach on behalf of clients.
? Ability to work well in a team environment.
? Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or related field.
? Must be detail-oriented.
? Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and handle the changing needs of clients.
? Ability to illustrate a results-focused approach and a commitment to going the extra mile for clients.
? Experience working directly with clients on day-to-day activities.
