Assistant Coordinator

The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) is seeking an energetic, highly-organized and personable Assistant Coordinator to join our caucus staff.

Responsibilities include: preparing materials for caucus meetings, coordinating outreach and correspondence, handling logistical considerations for caucus events and programs, conducting background research on issues and legislation, managing special projects and some communications efforts, and assisting the Executive Director with caucus responsibilities.

Qualified candidates must be professional, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication, written, people and organizational skills. Top candidates should also be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, work well in fast-paced settings, and act as a team player. A positive attitude and sense of humor are a must. Prior Hill experience preferred, but not required. Candidates must be willing to work hours as needed by the office and the Chair. Please send resume and cover letter to capac@mail.house.gov. The Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) is comprised of Members of Congress of Asian and Pacific Islander descent and members who have a strong dedication to promoting the well-being of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Currently Chaired by Congresswoman Judy Chu, CAPAC has been addressing the needs of the AAPI community in all areas of American life since it was founded in 1994.
