Spring Entertainment Publicity Internship!!

Internship Overview:

Under the direction of accomplished, respected and skilled PR Veteran Trea Davenport (http://treadaypr.tumblr.com) Atlanta-based Entertainment Company; Trea Day Management & Publicity specializing in Promotion, Publicity and Project Management has current openings for a Spring Internship Program.

We are looking for young professionals with strong interest and ability in Entertainment and Sports Public Relations and/or Marketing with the potential to add to our permanent professional Publicity, Business and Marketing Teams.

The ideal candidate will desire to work with and learn from experienced entertainment industry professionals during an aggressive 3 month training program. He or she must be able to commit to 15-20 hours a week from our Alpharetta home location and remotely.

We carefully select the right interns to join our team to be evaluated and considered for a paid position once the internship is completed, therefore all projects will be treated as if you were our employee! We are looking for candidates that want to grind and take initiative.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal Intern will be open-minded, aggressive, resourceful, organized and willing to LEARN! These entry level professionals or students will understand the importance of learning in a hands-on environment from the country's top PR, marketing and entertainment industry professionals!

He or she will desire to understand the components of basic publicity campaigns, event planning and/or marketing plans. They must demonstrate the ability to RESEARCH and write basic business correspondence. All Interns will have the opportunities to build their portfolios and create bona fide work samples that may be used in actual campaign programs. This proactive troubleshooter, solution oriented and client-focused professional will function effectively in an office environment, from remote locations and possibly on the road.

This is a real, hands-on, client interaction position with actual project work-minimal filing and coffee runs. Real work, real assignments, real training with real publicists, managers, authors, designers, radio promoters, street teams and music producers, etc.

Strong preference will be given to candidates who have the following abilities and/or willing to learn the following:

Professional PR Writing
Creating Media/Publicity Campaigns
Online Marketing
Executing exposure functions
Arranging Media Events (press conferences, release parties)
Client research
Media List Building
On-Site Publicity Representation
Social Networking PR
Developing Press Tools (Press Kits, EPKS, etc)
Meeting strict deadlines
Maintaining expense reports
Ability to multi task
Effective and regular reporting
Pleasant and articulate phone manner
Office errands

Interns Should:
Have a valid driver's license
Have dependable transportation
Must be able to work 15-20 hrs per week
Have laptop w/ wireless access/capabilities

As an Intern you will:
Write press materials
Assist with the development of proposals, campaigns and sponsorship presentations
Schedule and observe photo shoots
Assist with and attend special events and programs
Assist with and attend presentations and VIP meetings
Update company and client web pages
Assist with E-blasts and EPK creation
Assist with and attend press conferences/Media Days
Help develop PR/marketing/fundraising tools
Learn street-level/grass roots promotions
Attend industry events (fundraisers, press conferences, top level meetings)
Pitch to media outlets
Develop website and select web pages
Create media lists
Online research
Create flyers, brochures, and other press materials
Learn and grow as a marketing and PR Professionals
Create databases, spreadsheets and grids
Support client endeavors as needed

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship that offers a wealth of experience, knowledge, and networking opportunities. There are loads of perks: sport events, concerts, red carpet events, travel and more!
