Media Matters for America is a web-based, not-for-profit progressive
research and information center dedicated to comprehensively
monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in
the media -- every day, in real time. We are looking for summer
interns to work in our Washington, D.C. office who believe in
progressive causes. Both full and part-time internships are available.

Communication interns will have the unique opportunity to work with a
variety of our outlets including traditional press, new media, and
external affairs. You will have the opportunity to assist with
monitoring press coverage, drafting news releases, compiling press
clips, conducting online research, working with our new media team to
promote the awareness of Media Matters through social media outlets,
and more.

Additionally, these interns will also spend time working with Media
Matters Action Network, a project of Media Matters that holds
conservative politicians and their political allies accountable in
real time. A new line of products from MMAN called Message Matters,
will seek the help of this intern as well.

Message Matters draws on polling, tested messaging, and expert
recommendations to equip leaders with messaging that goes on offense

Interns will assist with tracking messaging trends, polling data and
