Pineapple Public Relations (www.pineapple-pr.com) is looking for an Account Executive who has a passion for the travel industry to join our growing team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
An Account Executive must have good interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated success working directly with media (pitching stories, developing strategy) along with the ability to work effectively on multiple projects within specific set of accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling, logistics and provide billing support
  • Secure consistent and quality media placements with active pitching
  • Research, compile and analyze client media coverage
  • Develop and maintain solid media relationships with journalists, bloggers and social media influencers
  • Write, edit and proofread materials including press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets and client correspondence
  • Content creation for social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and ability to assist clients with developing strategies on these platforms
  • Build comprehensive targeted media lists
  • Help supervise interns/trainees
  • Prepare and/or review activity reports, metrics reports and status reports for clients and track publicity.
  • Participate in new business process including research and proposal preparation
  • Commit to continuous learning through training opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum two to three years related experience in Public Relations, travel PR a plus
  • BA or BS in related field
  • Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc
  • Familiarity with industry-appropriate media, bloggers and social media influencers.
  • Online community management experience (Facebook page or group administrator, forum administrator, etc.) a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and similar tools.
  • Proficiency in Cision.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Some travel
  • On-site attendance at media events, familiarization trips, training, client events and meetings.
  • Nights, Weekends as required for media and client events, hosting media, training.
