11Alive is planning a major social media effort for the Sochi Olympics which begin on February 4th, 2014. For 18 days, we will strive to engage with Atlanta about the Olympics and the amazing stories our team will be covering there - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! We are looking for some talented part time help.
Our ideal candidate:
- Must be skilled in social media, particularly twitter and Facebook
- Must be available daily between Feb 4-23rd (The hours will be determined based on the candidates selected and our needs.)
- Have strong understanding of social media ethics
- Have an ability to communicate with personality and professionalism via social media
- Someone passionate about the Olympics would be amazing...but a basic knowledge of the games and NBC's coverage is a must
The candidate would work at 11Alive alongside our journalists, web and marketing teams.
It is a great opportunity for a journalist or social media student just getting started or looking for new skills.
