Rowan University is seeking an Assistant Director of Athletic (Salary:
$ 50,000.00 - 55,000.00)

of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, the first new allopathic
medical school in New Jersey in more than 30 years.

Responsibilities: The Assistant Director of Athletic Communications
will be responsible for the public relations of a NCAA Division III
athletic program with 18 teams. Duties will include writing and editing
press releases, updating and maintaining the athletics website, keeping
statistics at home events, design and layout of game programs, answering
requests from the media and reporting information to the NCAA and the
New Jersey Athletic Conference. This position requires work hours in the
evenings and on the weekends.

Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelors
degree (communications, public relations, journalism or related field)
and one year full-time experience in sports information in collegiate
athletics. Candidates must have an understanding of NCAA rules and
strong interpersonal and communication skills. Extensive knowledge and
experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Microsoft
Word, Stat Crew software and Final Cut Pro.
Preferred: Three years of full-time experience in sports information in
collegiate athletics.

All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.
