Persona Affairs™ is a personal branding firm that builds consistent visual and verbal identities throughout our client's professional profile and
business persona. We build innovative personal brands through traditional mediums such as resume writing, executive coaching, social
media marketing, training and development.
We incorporate flexible social media strategies into each of our career and business branding products. Persona provides engagement
services that monitors and manages their digital voice via social media outlets such as blogs, Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, and a variety of
social networks.
The Social Media/Public Relations Intern will be charged with managing the social media strategy and execution for Persona Affairs. This
intern will develop content in alignment with client-based social media and PR strategies.
During your internship you will be provided significant coaching and mentoring to grow your new media skills and knowledge.
We are looking for part time interns (10 – 20 hrs/week) with engaging personalities that are eligible to receive college credit. Availability
required: weekday mornings, weekday afternoons. Weekend availability a plus**
Responsibilities:
As a Social Media/Public Relations Intern you will:
Assist in the execution of comprehensive social media strategy for job seekers and small businesses owners
Leverage blogs, video, and the major social networks including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Foursquare, and Pinterest
Research supportive blogs and new media outlets. Provide regular feedback and insights gained from social media monitoring
Write and edit press releases and social media communications
Monitor relevant media contacts/issues and develop media lists
Stay in tune with latest social media and content marketing developments
Pitch stories to appropriate media contacts
Requirements:
Qualifications:
College student majoring in English, journalism, communications, and/or public relations
Experience with Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube and understand the intersecting capabilities of each platform and processYou should have an outstanding writing and editing ability, and be adept at working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure
with a sense of humor
Exceptional research skills with an eye for relevant news stories and be creative, enthusiastic, flexible and highly organized
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Access a plus**
