PR Internship at Morris + Company in NYC

The Morris + King Company, one of New York's top public relations firms is seeking smart, hungry, and creative individuals to add to their technology division. This is a great opportunity to learn the in's and out's of the PR business with hands-on experience! Interns can expect to draft media releases, learn the importance of people and press in the digital space and receive guidance working alongside some of the very best PR professionals in New York City.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with major media projects
Writing pitches
Creating media lists
Online research
Supporting executive staff

Essential Candidate Qualities:
Must possess excellent writing/oral communication skills
Must be proactive and show initiative
Must have strong follow up skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet usage
Must have strong knowledge of social media
Experience with Vocus a plus, but not required

Prior PR experience not required, but preferred. If you are a college student, this is a for-credit internship.

Hours: Monday -- Thursday, minimum of 6 hours per day
