CARE is seeking an energetic Media Communications Intern. The intern will be responsible for building media lists using a web-based media database, migrating CARE’s existing media contact lists to the media database, developing new lists based on specific needs, monitoring media weekly for CARE, providing reports, and assist with proactive media pitching. The intern will also play an integral role in migrating and building media lists using existing Excel spreadsheets and a Web-based database of media contacts. Monitoring the media outlets for mentions of CARE and potentially assisting with media outreach will also be part of the intern's responsibilities.
Required Skills:
· Strong written and verbal communication skills;
· Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Having an interest in communication and media is strongly preferred for this position.
