Edelman Washington, D.C. seeks a dynamic Account Executive to join its pioneering Digital Public Affairs team. We deliver integrated online communications solutions to a wide variety of clients spanning energy, healthcare, international, corporate and non-profit. We have deep expertise in online campaigns, social media engagement, strategic online monitoring, blogger relations, grassroots advocacy and smart website build and launch strategies.

In this position on Edelman D.C.’s fastest growing practice you will work with Fortune 100 companies to craft and execute creative, effective online strategy. You will also deliver world-class client service in a fast-moving environment that requires flexibility, stamina and good humor.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The Account Executive must have at least one year of digital public relations expertise. 
QUALIFICATIONS: The Account Executive should have a bachelor’s degree, a solid grasp of public relations and Web 2+ tools, and superior research (qualitative and quantitative), writing and editing skills. S/he should have the ability to work effectively with team members and clients. Online campaign experience for public affairs and advocacy issues is highly preferred. Previous large corporate client, energy and CSR experience is a plus. S/he must be highly organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to efficiently manage multiple project deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to the research, development and writing of digital program plans
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data into a point-of-view; think strategically
  • Communicate directly with clients and participate in client meetings and conference calls
  • Manage projects while working with staff and vendors to ensure superior quality standards are met
  • Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly activity reporting
  • Keep account team abreast of timelines and deadlines
  • Research, write and edit materials
