KB Home is seeking to add a Communications Coordinator to join the dynamic communications team. The Communications Coordinator will enhance KBHome's competitive position by providing support to a team of communications professionals and marketing/communications senior executives, who implement regional and corporate strategies company-wide.

Track and distribute daily clip reports company-wide.
Respond to general emails and phone calls from the media and the public.
Produce media coverage summary reports surrounding special campaigns or topics on quarterly basis
Manage relationships/accounts with media monitoring vendors, assist Communications Manager with contract negotiations
Compile all competitors earnings coverage and assist with production of quarterly analysis document
Research and gather info on potential media opportunities
Research and create new media outreach lists for special projects, divisional outreach, etc.
Manage executive's calendar and meeting schedule
Meeting and travel coordination/planning
Research and gather info on potential marketing opportunities
Office administrative support duties include department accounting (invoices/expense reports); sorting mail; ordering supplies; scheduling meetings; and making travel arrangements.
Communications support duties include maintaining and distributing press kits, ordering and maintaining broadcast and print clipping files, ordering reprints, monitoring coverage online, developing media audits and establishing reporter call logs.


Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Management required
Minimum 1 - 3 year experience in-house corporate or agency experience in Communications, PR or Marketing
Excellent communications skills to include oral and written
Prior experience in Real Estate industry preferred
Must be proficient in word, excel, power point, Microsoft outlook, MS word, Adobe Photoshop
Desire to acquire knowledge in all aspects of communications, public relations and marketing in order to achieve organizational objectives and ultimately strengthen our brand
Ability to develop consistent "voice" for the company along with Communications Manager
Strong eye for detail and accuracy in all communications, particularly all that is outward-facing
Base understanding of and interest in public relations dynamics, customer, audience and requirements as well as potential effects and implications of media/coverage inquiries.
