Marketing & Public Relations Internship - Los Angeles area

Led by CEO Bill Lee, Millennium Entertainment is a leading independent
supplier that acquires and distributes feature films, television
series and specialty programming. Formed in 2010, Millennium
Entertainment owns and, through its content aggregation and
distribution venture Millennium Media Services, operates a vast
library consisting of over 1,000 titles including Paris, Je’Taime,
Transsiberian and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, as well as
forthcoming titles: Elephant White, starring Djimon Hounsou and Kevin
Bacon; Sacrifice, starring Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Christian Slater;
Shadows and Lies, starring James Franco; Blitz starring Jason Statham
and George Romero’s Deadtime Stories, Volume 1 and 2.

Millennium Entertainment (ME) is currently seeking an intern that has
a desire to gain experience within marketing/public relations with a
focus on the social media/publicity arena. This is an unpaid, college
credit only, internship but will offer great hands-on experience.

The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, organized, proactive
self-starter that is detail oriented, punctual and dedicated. The
individual must possess strong organizational and communications
skills, good interpersonal skills and knowledge of general office
duties.

Duties will include (but may not be limited to):

§ Seeking out ways to improve Millennium’s Facebook fanbase

§ Social media projects

§ Uploading clips and photos to YouTube and FTP

§ Posting to bulletin boards and chat rooms about ME’s movies and talent

§ General publicity support (DVD mailings, researching/updating pitch lists)

§ Catalog consolidation and data entry and QC for all titles in database

Job Requirements:

§ Prefer a college Junior/Senior or Masters Program candidate with a
major in Marketing, Communications or other related degrees

§ PC & Mac computer literate

§ Must have experience with Photoshop

§ Selected candidate needs to have an interest in or experience with
film marketing, PR and social media.

§ MUST be internet savvy with experience with Facebook and Twitter

§ Outstanding verbal, written communications and proofreading skills.

§ Reliable, highly motivated and detail oriented.

Educational Benefits:

Intern will work closely with experienced entertainment industry
marketing executives and will gain hands on experience in film
marketing.

Eligibility: Must be enrolled full or part-time in an accredited
undergraduate or graduate program.

Semester: Summer 2011

Anticipated Weekly Schedule: Hours are flexible (Office hours are
9am-6pm); actual schedule will be based on candidate’s availability.

Location: Millennium Entertainment offices are located in the Miracle
Mile district and we offer paid parking.
