Sierra Club opportunity (Atlanta, GA)

The Sierra Club seeks a well-connected and creative self-starter to
boost media coverage in the American Southeast to move the region
beyond coal and toward clean energy solutions. This position will
focus particularly on outreach related to clean energy and moving our
country beyond coal, as well as other issues such as public health and
protecting America's environmental legacy through the Clean Air Act
and Clean Water Act. The ideal candidate is passionate about
environmental and energy issues, a great strategic communicator and
skilled at building reporter relationships, with a proven track record
of strong media coverage generation. Existing media contacts in the
American Southeast and existing knowledge of environmental issues are
a big plus. This position will be based in Atlanta with some travel
around the Southeast, plus occasional travel to Washington, D.C., and
other locations around the country.
