Political and Advocacy Internships

INTERNSHIPS:

Internship in the office of Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro: Active Subcommittee Ranking Member seeks full time intern to work in her fast-paced, team-oriented Washington, D.C. office starting as soon as possible until May 13. The internship is unpaid but students may receive credit. Though many intern duties are administrative, there will be many opportunities for interns to take on additional responsibility. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills. Duties will include drafting constituent mail, legislative research, answering phones, opening and sorting mail, scheduling tours of various federal buildings, conducting tours of the Capitol building, and attending hearings. This internship will offer an exciting inside glimpse into how a congressional office operates, and familiarize the intern with Capitol Hill. CT ties are preferred but not required. E-mail resume and a short writing sample toelizabeth.albertine@mail.house.gov by April 6.
