Position Membership Coordinator
Department Membership
Supervisor’s Title Director, Membership and Registration
Hours Full-time position
Location Alexandria, VA

Summary: The membership coordinator will be responsible for providing support of member needs, services, and development. This person will be responsible for providing customer service to all members, and maximizing benefits and services to membership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Support and maintain membership database
· Support and coordinate chapter chartering programs with Membership Committee
· Support Chapter Visit Initiatives
· Travel to recruitment activities
· Administer and support registration for conferences and conventions as appropriate
· 1st level support for membership issues/ maintain membership mailbox
· Develop and maintain membership benefits program
· Create and maintain International Member Mailing lists for membership materials
· Implement process for International members to receive NSBE membership materials,
understanding the constraints and practical scenarios of various countries where NSBE has
members
· Manage request process to send recruitment materials to international chapters
· Coordinate visa request process for international members to attend Annual Convention,
including support letters from NSBE
· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Membership and Registration

Education/Experience
B.S. or B.A. desired, but not required (Background in science, engineering, business, or marketing a plus); minimum of two years working in a customer service position; a minimum of one year of experience in a progressive administrative role supporting a department; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in working with college and/or pre-college students is a plus.
