Public Relations Internship opportunity with The Home Depot

The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, is seeking interns for Spring and Summer 2010. These unpaid internships will be based at the company’s headquarters in Atlanta, will require 15-20 hours a week and offer those seeking a career in public relations/corporate communications the unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a Fortune 22 company.

Hands-on and practical duties will include generating media lists, conducting research, compiling media reports, media pitching, participating in creative brainstorming sessions, assisting in media advisory development and internal story development.

Applicants should have strong writing skills, a working knowledge of AP Style and an interest in working with various media. Ideal candidates must be strong multi-taskers with a “can-do” attitude, and have the ability to manage projects and assignments.
