2010 Multicultural Advertising Intern Program

Are you a communication student looking to break into the advertising industry?

If so, you’ve come to the right place.

Since 1973, the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP) has helped jumpstart the careers of more than 2,000 African-American, Asian-American, Latino-American, Native-American, multiracial and multicultural aspiring advertising professionals. Each year, undergraduate and graduate students are selected for a 10-week paid summer internship at an American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's) member advertising agency. Interns gain practical work experience, establish key industry contacts, and perhaps most importantly, become better prepared to land a full-time job in advertising when they graduate from the program. At the same time, the program provides advertising agencies with a cost-effective means of identifying and recruiting talented multicultural students.

Upon successful completion of the program, interns become members of the MAIP Alumni Association, a close-knit community of MAIP graduates that fosters the development of future MAIP interns as well as the professional growth of the program’s alumni. The alumni association is also a valuable resource for agencies looking for a diverse candidate pool. The 4A's (American Association of Advertising Agencies) is committed to helping multicultural aspiring advertising professionals break into the industry.
