Sports Journalism Internship Program (unpaid), Score Atlanta, Sandy Springs, GA

We are looking for interns to join our sports journalism internship program. Here is some info about our company and the internship program: Score Atlanta is a sports marketing company based in Sandy Springs. We provide content for not only our own website and print publication but also for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Atlanta Falcons, the GHSA and a variety of other sources.  We are looking for students who have a passion for sports and enjoy writing. Our internship program includes: writing stories about local sports teams (everything from Falcons/Hawks/Braves to UGA/Tech/KSU to high schools), learning about the sports journalism and sports marketing businesses, how a print publication is put together, writing for the internet, social media competencies, phone skills and the ability and opportunity to be published both online and in print. Covering live sporting events and interviewing players and coaches is also a key aspect of our program.  The number of hours per week we require depends on the student and their schedule. Two days per week minimum. Beyond that, the more hours interns are in the office, the more assignments they will receive.  We accept college interns from freshmen to graduate students. Our only requirements are basic writing competencies, a professional attitude and a passion for sports. We do not compensate interns, but the experience we provide is invaluable to those hoping to find jobs in the competitive sports journalism and sports marketing fields.
