The University of Arkansas has an opening for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor to teach in the advertising and public relations sequence of the Lemke Department of Journalism each fall and spring semester. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach at least two of the required sequence courses including Advertising Principles, Public Relations Principles, Media Planning and Strategy, and/or Public Relations Writing. In addition, the candidate will serve as sequence academic and student club advisor.

Minimum requirements: A master’s degree in advertising/public relations, communication, mass communication, marketing or closely related field and prior university teaching experience. Experience with student advising and student club mentorship a plus.

Preferred qualifications: A Ph.D. with an emphasis in advertising and/or public relations. Candidates with a master’s in advertising and/or public relations or closely related field, and professional experience may also be considered.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and background.
