XO Group Inc., formerly The Knot Inc., a global media and technology leader devoted to weddings, pregnancy and everything in between, seeks a hard working, self-motivated, creative and resourceful Public Relations Intern. Intern will work closely with the in-house PR department to promote the company’s award-winning brands including the top two wedding websites TheKnot.com and WeddingChannel.com, TheNest.com, and TheBump.com, through consumer and business-related interviews, speaking engagements, television appearances, press releases, and targeted pitches.
Intern will hone writing, communication, and event production skills while learning how to develop targeted media lists, draft pitches, track media placements, and coordinate deliveries to key media contacts at the nation's top newspapers, magazines, online, and broadcast outlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in a career in Public Relations, Marketing, and Event Planning. A love of writing and creative brainstorming are essential.
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:- Must be currently attending college (sophomore or above)
- Must be receiving school credit or the equivalent
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- The ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solver
- Self-starter
- Superior organization skills a must
- Microsoft Excel skills
- Previous experience a plus
