Environmental Communications Coordinator at World Land Trust-US in Warrenton, VA

World Land Trust-US is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated conservationist with good writing and organizing skills to oversee web development, general communications and donor services. This person would work to implement a wide range of web and communication activities, including: manage and develop the organization’s website; develop web outreach and fund-raising approaches; produce monthly e-bulletins and other electronic appeals; produce printed documents, presentations and proposals; write and distribute news releases; identify and build new communications opportunities; manage press inquiries; and maintain donor data and provide donor acknowledgements.
The candidate will work in our central office in the wonderful colonial city of Warrenton, 45 minutes west of Washington DC in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills; strong web development skills; a knowledge of and commitment to conservation and the non-profit sector, and strong organizing skills. The candidate must have two years experience in related work, ideally in the non-profit sector, and added consideration will be given to candidates with some experience working abroad (ideally Latin America) and Spanish language skills.
