Public Relations Coordinator (part-time) at Stone Mountain Park in GA

Stone Mountain Park, Georgia's #1 family attraction area, has a part-time opening for an entry-level Public Relations Coordinator to assist the Public Relations Manager with tasks that fulfill the PR needs of the Park.  Responsibilities include:


--Serve as the initial contact for filming and photography requests
--Write and/or assist PR Manager in the writing of press releases for special events or key marketing hooks
--Manage online clipping service
--Attend media broadcast opportunities
--Assist in creating content for social media
--Assist in the planning and/or coordination of events or media functions
--Assist in the development of coordination of Press Kits
--Assist in updating and maintaining the PR media contact database
--Organize and maintain the photo/slide library
--Assist in the updating and maintaining of the SMP online press room
--Assist PR Manager and Marketing staff with the day-to-day functions of the Public Relations/Marketing department
--Implement and complete special research projects as assigned
--Fulfill press kit, brochure and donation requests
--All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
All candidates must have a driver's license, personal transportation in order to travel to various locations within the Park, the ability to work outside, and the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.  College experience in a related field is strongly encouraged, along with experience dealing with the general public.
