WE ARE SEEKING:
A Promotions and Media Maven with a flair for audience development and box office experience who will create and shape related marketing and media promotions to support DCINY’s mission. All ticketing, software and actual sales are maintained with and by our contracted venues per their policies (ie. Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Disney Hall). Our ideal candidate will have box office and promotions experience that is full of sample stories of how you filled the hall, what new ideas you brought to the table, and an enthusiasm for reaching past the standard borders that classical music generally resides within. You are very organized, pay attention to details, and are an enthusiastic self-starter with great time-management skills and a passion for classical music. The ability to craft reconciliations, excel sheets is a must, and familiarity with Salesforce.com a plus. The standard tool belt of social marketing skills (Facebook, Twitter, etc) is a requirement.

THE RIGHT PERSON:
Have strong marketing and promotions skills and be full of new ideas:
o Suggest direct response materials and lists, and coordinate schedule of ticketing campaigns including tracking and follow-up
o Suggest, negotiate and establish sales promotions and initiatives (ie. Living Social, Gilt City, TravelZoo)
o Affinity marketing suggestions to promote further group sales (ie. VH-1 Save the Music, Hi-5, schools, field trips, etc)
o Harness and expand current social marketing platforms to increase company visibility and audience interest
o Design and coordinate email blasts, print advertising, and other promotions for audience development
o Coordinate and provide updates to list broker, and secure, fulfill and approve trade and papering lists;
Be a friendly liaison for DCINY with the venues’ front of house teams:
o Prepare concerts’ ticket forms for venue including discount pricing, codes and tracking
o Maintaining of ticket manifests
o Submit holds and handle ticket pulls including will call
o Request updated ticket statistics from all venues on a scheduled basis
o Ticket fulfillment and balancing of all sales
o Staff box office on concert weekends and evenings as needed
Communicate with principals and staff at DCINY:
o Prepare weekly and requested sales and tracking reports to share with company principals when appropriate and during the concert season.
o Maintain box office files
o Processesing and maintaining reconciliations of box office season
Compensation appropriate and commensurate with experience for the right applicant and may include bonus and commissions.
