Ohio Congresswoman Betty Sutton is seeking current college students or recent college graduates wishing to gain Capitol Hill experience in a fast-paced office for a full-time or part-time Summer Semester internship. We are seeking motivated, organized, and reliable individuals to assist the legislative and administrative staff with day-to-day duties. Such duties include attending briefings, answering phones, giving Capitol tours, drafting constituent correspondence letters, doing legislative research and various other tasks. The internship is unpaid, but interns will gain valuable Hill and office experience and will have access to many unique Hill opportunities. Those with ties to Ohio or the 13th Congressional District are strongly encouraged to apply. This summer, work with Grassroots Campaigns to End Poverty and Advance
Right now our country is facing some unprecedented problems:
environmental degradation, massive global poverty, and ongoing civil
rights abuses. More than ever, we need to work together to face these
challenges head on. It’s up to all of us to make sure that our country
moves in the right direction.
Grassroots Campaigns is currently partnering with some of the
country’s leading advocacy and humanitarian organizations to help
create positive change. This summer, we will be working with groups
like Amnesty International on the fight for human rights and the
American Civil Liberties Union to protect our constitution. We also
work with Oxfam to fight poverty and the ASPCA to stop cruelty to
We work at the grassroots level, talking to people one-on-one to make
sure that citizens know what's going on and have the opportunity to
take action on issues that they care about.
