National School Boards Association seeks highly motivated individual to support lobbying staff representing the interests of local school boards on Capitol Hill and with the Administration. Candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks with short deadlines successfully. Responsibilities encompass a broad range of administrative and technical duties including editing and distributing correspondence; updating website; coordinating forums, briefings and key meetings with stakeholders, congressional members and their staff; conducting internet and database research; developing PowerPoint presentations; tracking key legislation impacting public education; and assisting with planning and preparation for national conference. Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, public policy or related field preferred; three years of administrative experience. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
