Description:
The Quality of Life Foundation is a small San Francisco-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit startup that seeks to engage volunteers to plant trees in public spaces in order to build stronger and healthier individuals, communities, and ecosystems. We also give foundation grants to educational and conservation programs that are aligned with the Foundation's goals.

The job of the Chief Happiness Officer is to take charge of fulfilling the Quality of Life Foundation's community-building mission. Specific responsibilities will include strategic planning, building partnerships with businesses, other nonprofits, and federal, state, and local public agencies (including parks and schools), and planning and coordination of public tree planting events.

Ideally, the Chief Happiness Officer should exemplify the qualities that the Quality of Life Foundation seeks to promote in the world: joy (yes!), compassion, and mindfulness. The Chief Happiness Officer should have a strong affinity for nature and the outdoors. Additionally, that person should be highly energetic, organized, self-motivated, responsible, and should have excellent event planning and coordination skills. The Chief Happiness Officer must have strong networking skills and must have the ability to build partnerships with a wide variety of like-minded organizations.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and flexible hours.
