To assist the Director of Product Management for Business and Tech Research Libraries in all aspects of day-to-day responsibilities and ongoing projects, including competitive research, project management and product development.

CBS Interactive is proud to offer a summer 2010 internship program.  We strive to provide students in both undergraduate and graduate levels with meaningful and practical work experience. Our internships will expose you to industry professionals and promote both your personal and career development.  CBS Interactive Internship Program Events Include networking opportunities and offsite events, e.g. tour of CBS 5 studios, Parties That Cook classes, volunteering at the San Francisco Food Bank.

How it works...

Our summer 2010 internships start in June and end in August, they are 10 to 12 weeks in duration, 40 hours per week.


Please review the job description below.  To be considered, you must be currently attending an accredited college and have achieved sophomore or junior status with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. We also hire graduate students for internships.  We require a resume and cover letter. This a paid internship but can also be for academic credit if it meets your university’s guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in daily oversight and “auditing” of the research library sections of the sites to identify any programming bugs, editorial concerns, advertising glitches, etc. to ensure timely fixes and resolution to any identified issues

Support project management efforts working closely with the direct marketing operations and engineering teams to balance technical and business trade-offs to deliver products in a timely manner

Assist in the positioning and launch of new products and services by conducting competitive research, gathering data and providing analysis.

Required Skills/Experience JOB SKILLS
·         In college (*previous intern-experience a plus) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

·         Marketing Major a plus

·         Excel wizard - must be able to format, manipulate, review and analyze numerical data

·         Extremely Detailed, Project and Results oriented

·         Strong planning and analytical skills

·         Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

·         Ability to remain calm under pressure, learn on the fly

·         Team Player

·         Well organized

·         Self-Motivated

Must successfully pass a background check.

Minimum Education Level HS Diploma or GED
