Public Relations Specialist

Support the Public Relations and Communications functions through developing and implementing programs and communications which build the overall Tupperware image and brand visibility as well as heighten consumer awareness of the Tupperware business opportunity and products in the United States.
Create and/or generate new story threads on Chain of Confidence website message board. Respond to messages posted by consumers, sales force and others.
Ensure online Tupperware Brands Media Room is up to date with the latest information, media hits, press articles, photos, etc.
Collaborate with global PR and Communications leaders to compile information for internal Global Public Relations newsletter. Request from each Tupperware market potential global PR stories, set up interviews and gather information and generate a case study section to showcase best practices. Prepare draft layouts and work with PR management, creative design and/or others to finalize.
Maintain the global PR database: current Marketing heads and PR contacts in the Tupperware Brand countries; Media contact list; ongoing media coverage of all our Brands.
Together with PR agency, create a PR press kit with latest reprints, historical information and photos in both hard copy format and flash drive. Partner with Creative and others to create new kit cover that illustrates and represents the current image of Tupperware Brands.
Draft press releases and other communications including new product launches, seasonal initiatives, media and celebrity events, press functions and internal events. Respond to requests for information from the media, or designate another appropriate spokesperson or resource. Manage media calls, refer to agency, log and track.
Maintain company archives; collect and catalogue records and items in archives. Catalog and maintain the Public Relations media library with digital and hard copies; duplicate and distribute copies on as needed basis.
Maintain Company image and identity including corporate logo and signage.
Plan and direct the development and communication of programs to maintain favorable corporate perceptions of accomplishments
Assist in developing PR strategies that will influence public opinion and/or promote ideas, products and services.
Confer with PR and Marketing management to identify trends and key interests/concerns; disseminate information as appropriate.
Assist in planning and implementing market and public opinion research to test various elements such as trends, lifestyles products and/or determine potential for product success; communicate results to management.
Support all Company and PR events including planning, product ordering, manual support for event set-up and take-down, event flow, recap reports, etc,
Coordinate with external PR firm to produce PR and IR videos; ensure videos are consistently updated with the most recent media.
Track PR projects; ensure progress and timelines are on course. Review weekly with PR management.
On a daily basis, monitor social media; update Chain of Confidence and Tupperware Brands social media presence (on sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Co-manage department budgets; process invoices. Coordinate product ordering, samples, media sends and event orders.
Perform all other duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, or Communications
Three years of related Public Relations or media relations experience (PR agency experience preferred)
Comfort with operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that recognizes and rewards hard work and excellence
Excellent oral and strong written communication skills; ability to interact with public and internal audiences at all levels
Ability to work and interact effectively as a member of a team
Ability to coordinate and support multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong project management skills; ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule with multiple projects running simultaneously
Confident problem solver, thorough reader, superb attention to detail
Self-motivated; ability to work independently and take initiative in fulfilling responsibilities
Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Photoshop)
