Assistant, Concert Marketing

Department: Marketing

Reports to: Assistant Director of Marketing

Position Classification: Non-Exempt

Position summary:

The Assistant is responsible for: working with the Assistant Director of Marketing to execute promotional and outreach strategies and activities in support of concert sales; working with the Assistant Director of Marketing to coordinate all group sales initiatives and relationships; managing various off-site partnerships and promotional efforts; executing advertising and promotion strategies for Educational concerts for general audiences; assisting with Playbill needs; and supporting general administrative needs of the department.

Responsibilities:
Initiate and implement group sales strategies and cultivate relationships.
Coordinate and process all group sales transactions.
Coordinate with the Development Department to ensure fulfillment of corporate sponsorship group sales.
Track all budget expenditures as it relates to specific programs.
Coordinate various off-site audience development and promotional efforts.
Execute house papering and/or grass roots outreach programs, when necessary.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on marketing experience, preferably in live entertainment.
Demonstrated excellence in coordinating marketing plans and tracking budgets.
Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Ability to function as a team player, work in a deadline-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
Strong computer literacy especially a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerpoint.

Passion and/or knowledge of Jazz preferred.
