Communications Intern, Southwest Airlines (Summer 2010--Deadline 11/30/2009)

INTERN - COMMUNICATIONS - SUMMER 2010 - DEADLINE 11/30/09

Minimum Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  

Education:

• Progress towards degree in Public Relations, Corporate/Mass Communications, or Journalism
• Minimum Junior status or above
• To be eligible graduation date must be at the end of the semester in which you plan to intern or at least one semester post-internship
• Maintained 2.5 or above GPA
  

Experience:

• Part-time jobs
• Participation in trade/industry organizations, community involvement, and/or school clubs
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
• Must have knowledge and skills in using social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube)
  

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a Team
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and complete assignments with tight deadlines
• Ability to manager time and multiple tasks effectively
• Oral and written communication skills

Pay: $10.00 per hour + flight benefits
