Washington, D.C. Internships

Spring Internship: The office of Congressman Tom McClintock
The office of Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA) is seeking a conservative intern to begin in January 2010 and continue until May 2010 in the Washington DC office. Position responsibilities include answering phones, sorting correspondence, giving Capitol tours to constituents, researching legislation, data entry, assisting with other basic front office duties, and any other duties as requested by staff members.

Candidates should have a strong work ethic, be highly organized and motivated, and possess a positive, can-do attitude. This internship is unpaid. College credit, if applicable, will be provided. Qualified applicants should send a resume and cover letter to Kimberly Unitt-Zupkus.

National Republican Senatorial Committee – Unpaid Internship

Interns needed to help monitor news coverage of the 2010 Senate races. Interns will work in a fast paced environment dictated by the 24 hours news cycle. Interns will be searching & formatting news coverage from print, television, and blogs to be sent to staff, consultants, and activists. Interns needed to cover 6:30am-10:00am, 10:30am-2:30pm, 3:00pm-7:00pm shifts. Applicant should note which shifts s/he is interested in working, must be available for a minimum of 4 shifts.
