Marketing Intern: Hogan Construction Group

Hogan Construction Group, LLC has an immediate opening for a Marketing Intern in its Norcross, Georgia office. 

Founded in 1998, Hogan Construction is an award-winning General Contractor building projects throughout the southeast for public and private sector clients with an annual volume in excess of $100 million. Headquartered in metro Atlanta, the firm has branch offices in Florida and South Carolina. A growing company with a total staff of 90 professionals, Hogan offers a close-knit, team-oriented working environment that is both challenging and rewarding.

Celebrating over ten years of success, Hogan is currently undergoing a corporate-wide branding initiative and developing an aggressive strategic marketing and business development plan. Both endeavors are scheduled to be complete by mid-October 2009.

Job Description:
This intern position is primarily responsible assisting in all of the day to day marketing activities including preparation/updating of proposals and presentations, staff resumes, project case studies, qualification packages, brochures, and other collateral materials. Additional duties also include:
  • Market Research
  • Preparation of content for the company’s website, including ongoing updates
  • Public Relations / Advertising and other Corporate Communications programs
  • Coordinating special events (Ground Breaking, Ribbon Cutting, etc.)
  • Coordinating project photography
  • Managing contact lists
  • Preparing/managing award submittals
The successful candidate should have, at minimum, one year completed core course work in communications, journalism or marketing.  Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position. Candidate will be required to submit two writing samples and a resume prior to the interview process. Knowledge of the Architectural/Engineering or Construction industry and graphic design ability is a plus. A positive attitude and the ability to work well with team members at all levels of the company are key factors for success. The candidate should be proficient with current Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and with Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, PageMaker, PhotoShop).

Internship is for 10-20 hours a week in our Norcross office, hours are flexible and will be negotiated with the right candidate.  This is a paid internship; rate is $15/hr.
